    Lebanon's tourism arrivals rise by 3.3 percent in H1

    (MENAFN) Lebanon was reportedly registered a 3.3 percent boost in the number of tourists arriving at the country during the first half of this year, standing at 853,000.

    The figures have been reported by business magazine Al Iktissad Wal Sinaa on Friday, comparing with the same period in 2017 when the number of tourists reached 826,000.

    The report revealed Arab and European arrivals to have made up for 35 percent of the total number of tourists, followed by Americans for 18.2 percent, Asians for 7.6 percent, and Africans for 6.2 percent,

    It added that the occupancy rate of four and five stars hotels have stood at 58.6 percent during the first five months of this year, from 65.5 percent last year.
