    Iran-India trade exceeds USD13.7b in 2017

    (MENAFN) Iran and India have recorded a 7 percent increase in their trade to reach more than USD13.7 billion last year.

    Iran's exports to India last year hit USD11.57 billion, registering a 34 percent jump, as unveiled Roya Seyyedzadeh, an official of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.

    Iran's imports from India also stood at USD1.9 billion in 2017, posting a 9 percent drop, the official further revealed.

    Seyyedzadeh added that key Iranian exports to India include oil, mineral fuels, organic chemical material, fertilizers, cement, plastics, fruits and dried fruits, lime, sulfur and salt.

    She also noted that Iran's imports from its third most major oil supplier include cereals, tea, coffee, spice, machinery, nuclear reactors, iron, steel, synthetic fiber and makeup products.
