    Qatar to see 2.6 percent economic growth

    (MENAFN) Qatar is expected to record an economic growth of 2.6 percent and a boost in the non-hydrocarbon field by 5 percent.

    Qatar is witnessing a constant economic growth with a forecast to see further rapid growth of 3.2 percent in the GDP next year, and in non-hydrocarbon of 5.3 percent.

    Last year, the Qatari economy registered a 1.6 percent increase and its non-hydrocarbon reached 3.8 percent, QNB unveiled in its weekly 'economic commentary'.

    The country is also expected to see a rise in domestic demand and better current account surpluses through higher oil prices.
