Qatar makes efforts to become goods self-sufficient
(MENAFN) Qatar has reportedly been making efforts to become food self-sufficient and grow its natural recourses.
The statement, as reported Qatar News Agency (QNA), was made by Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohammed bin Abdullah al Rumaihi on the World Food Day.
The minister stated: "Qatar's celebration of the World Food Day is a confirmation of the importance of food and the need to provide it to everyone living on its land."
The Qatari minister further added that his country has taken on approaches to boost its output of agricultural commodities.
