Turkey receives invitation to mega China-Pakistan project
(MENAFN) Turkey was reported on Thursday to have received an offer from Pakistan to become part of the major China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative.
Turkey was invited to join the USD64 billion project for the advantage of all countries within the region.
National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser stated "Pakistan highly values its relations with Turkey, and the new government desires to further strengthen relations between Islamabad and Ankara."
The statement was made by the speaker during a meeting with Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, Turkey's ambassador to Pakistan.
The Turkish envoy further affirmed that "Turkish people always consider Pakistan as their second home, and we wish to see this country always strong and prosperous."
