    Iran jumps 16.5 percent in agricultural exports

    (MENAFN) Iran was found to have registered a 16.5 percent surge in its exports of agricultural goods from January to July this year, reaching USD3.351 billion.

    The figures were unveiled by an official at the Iranian Trade Promotion Organization, Payam Nasser Qodousi, during talks in a southern city in Iran.

    The trade official confirmed Iran to have exported 3.673 million tons of agricultural goods in terms of weight during the first seven months.

    The official further unveiled that date is the key agricultural product to be exported by Iran to other countries, while India to be the biggest exporter of the product.

    Qodousi also made an appeal for Iran to achieve a boost in its private sector in order to revive national economy.
