Bahrain issues crypto-assets draft regulations
(MENAFN) The Bahraini central bank announced the release of draft laws, aiming to control the operations of crypto-assets.
The move was seen as an indication of Bahrain's strong efforts to turn into a fintech hub within the region.
Bahrain's central bank released for consultation draft policies for crypto-asset platform operators, presenting rules for licencing and supervision of crypto-asset services.
The bank further added that the regulations consist of acts aimed at protecting customer interests, technology standards and cyber security risk management.
