Egypt's football, tourism sectors to flourish via AFCON 2019
(MENAFN) Egypt's football and tourism sectors are forecast for a significant growth, thanks to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) the country will host in June.
Al-Deeb added that "Egypt will also gain billions of U.S. dollars out of the rights of live broadcasts, advertisement and sponsors."
Through expanding tourism in hosting the tournament, the Egyptian economy is assured to see a rebound, suggested economic expert Abu Bakr al-Deeb.
The event, the expert noted, will "help raise the value of Egyptian pound against foreign currencies. I expect Egypt to gain a total of nearly 14 billion U.S. dollars out of hosting the tournament."
