Iran's tea exports hit USD16.8m
(MENAFN) Iran's exports of tea since this Iranian fiscal year started on March 21st accounted for USD16.8 million, reaching 12,600 tons.
Top markets for Iranian tea in the past nine months were unveiled to be India, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Russia.
Head of Iran Tea Organization Habibollah Jahansaz announced the results, as reported Eghtesad online news website.
Jahansaz affirmed that "despite the frost in spring and the water shortage we faced this year, production saw a 4-percent increase in weight compared with last year."
