Dubai inaugurates factory with robots as number plates manufacturers
(MENAFN) Dubai opened the first ever factory to employ robots in creating number plates for cars to provide a capacity of 33,000 plates per day.
Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) director-general and chairman Mattar Al Tayer inaugurated the factory at the Customers Happiness Centre in Deira.
The factory installed the technology of the fourth industrial revolution and artificial intelligence applications in manufacturing the number plates with no human assistance.
RTA is also planning to use ten similar machines at service provider centers, and regulate them using its central factory.
