    2.6 percent jump in Turkish crude steel production

    (MENAFN) Turkey produced 3 million tons of crude steel during the fourth month of this year, marking a 2.6 percent boost on annual basis.

    Steel product exports in Turkey stood at 1.9 million tons in April, registering a 22.7 percent surge as revealed the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).

    During the month, Turkey was able to generate USD1.4 billion in the value of steel exports to record a 9.8 percent jump.

    However, it added, Turkish steel imports hit 1.2 million tons to drop by 20.4 percent in volume while plunging 26.4 percents in value to reach USD965 million.
