    Saudi cement sales see increase in first month of 2019

    (MENAFN) The total sales of 17 Saudi cement companies jumped 20 percent to 2.55 million tons in June 2019, compared to 2.13 million tons in the same month of 2018, according to data compiled by Yamama Cement Co.

    Only four out of 17 cement firms reported lower sales, and these four companiese are led by Tabuk Cement with a 28 percent fall year-on-year (YoY) in June.

    It was followed by Hail Cement and Yamama Cement with a decrease of 21 percent and 13 percent respectively in June.

    In the meantime, 12 companies reported an increase in sales during the month, headed by Northern Province Cement with over 100 percent YoY upsurge, followed by Riyadh Cement (49 percent), Umm Al-Qura Cement (46 percent) and Najran Cement (46 percent) in June.
