High earners to face income tax in Turkey
(MENAFN) The plan is to raise income tax to a 45 percent for individuals who make one million liras ($171,000) or more, the proposal that has been sent to parliament by the Treasury and Finance Ministry hasn"t been made public yet, according to a person asked not to be identified.
The person said, those who make 500,000-to-one million liras will be subject to a 40 percent income tax rate.
The Treasury and Finance Ministry"s press office didn"t comment on the plans.
