(MENAFN) According to the assistant to the minister of supply, Egypt's wheat reserves are sufficient for the country's needs for up five months. Ahmed Kamal said, the increase in wheat reserves was credited to the large amount of wheat received from the local farmers after raising wheat prices for this harvest season, which began in April.Kamal added that Egypt has purchased 3.2 million tones of local wheat during the season.
