    Iran exports more gas this winter

    (MENAFN) According to reports published by Shana, the head of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC)'s Dispatching Department has stated that the company plans on exporting 70 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d) of innate gas during winter.

    Mohammadreza Jolaei declared: "Of this figure, about 600 million cubic meters per day will be allocated to the domestic sector and 70 million cubic meters is for exports," in reference to their goal of infusing an utmost percentage of 820 (mcm/d) of gas into the nationwide network in the cold season.

    He also added that at the time being, 700 (mcm) of sweet gas is made in the country, but only 300 (mcm) is being used in the local sector. He noted that the declining temperatures around the country lead to an increased level of consumption of the gas by 120 (mcm) in comparison to the previous week.

    He underlined the fact that the yearly repairs of the country's gas plants will be done by October 21sth, which will improve manufacturing. He backed it up with the following statement: "With the end of the repairs, we will reach maximum gas production."
