Iran: Port operations Continue amid Covid-19
(MENAFN) Covid-19 has had a negative impact on all economies, but ports in Iran haven't allowed the recent pandemic, or the U.S. limitations to halt down their procedures.
According to a declaration made by the head of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), cargos of merchandise go in and out of their ports without a pause, while maintaining al health regulations.
Mohammad Rastad reaffirmed that all port procedures are completed while meeting all healthcare protocols, and regulations set by the Coronvirus Containment Headquarters.
Iran's only oceanic port in southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province, (Chabahar Port), and Iran's biggest container port in southern Hormozgan Province, (Shahid Rajaee Port), have demonstrated, and highlighted Iran's remarkable work of dealing with the tricky circumstances caused by the U.S. limitations and the Coronvirus situation.
Another declaration states that Iran ports are working without disruption, against all attempts, and sanctions made by the enemy. It also connects the possibility of all that is happening to the impressive work of the organization's employees.
The PMO head revealed that, 11 new development projects that are worth in investment more than USD1.4 billion are presently in progress at the Iranian ports.
