    Iran opens trade center in Syria

    (MENAFN) The portal of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) revealed on Sunday, October 18th, that the chairman of the Iran-Syria joint Chamber of Commerce declared the official installation of the Iranian trade center in the capital of Syria; Damascus.

    Keyvan Kashefi commented on the matter: "This trade center has been opened with the aim of realizing the goal for $1 billion of annual exports to Syria."

    He also added that so far, 24 Iranian companies have opened and began their work in the mentioned center.

    Based on other statements made by Kashefi, this center has been bought, prepared, and put into action by ICCIMA in a part of a free zone in Damascus, taking up 4,000 square of the space.

    An official stated: "the center is based in a twelve-floor building, two of which are exhibitions and in other floors, various services are provided in the field of marketing, transportation, legal advice, banking, insurance, exhibitions, etc," for the location of this center is in the foreign trade zone of Damascus and has a very unique place to make matters easier for the Iranian companies and their activities.

    The opening of the Iranian trade center in Syria has enabled cities like Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, and Latakia to communicate better with the chambers of commerce, industry, and agriculture.

    Kashefi said, in reference to the establishment of a variety of banking, legal and financial consultant offices in this center: "We have tried to provide the Iranian companies based in this center with easy access to the necessary facilities and services thorough comprehensive research and by using the experiences of different countries."
