DP World works on Dubai Maritime City
(MENAFN) Dubai-based international supplier of smart logistics solutions, DP World, has declared that their project, Dubai Maritime City, is right on schedule. Work is moving ahead with no delays, and should be completed by next year.
Stage one of the DMC, which is a residential, and commercial establishment is 70 percent done, that includes working on the structure of roads and transportation.
This attention to details and covering all aspects of the build of the DMC project will ensure that the development will have efficient and maintainable infrastructure to adhere to a contemporary business community, and their high expectations of it.
The DMC mission is to reinforce their image as a leading maritime services provider. The most notable achievement so far in stage one is the work done on the underground services for Sheikh Rashid Road, one of the project's most important aspects, for it offers access to the sub-developers' areas located next to the seaside in Corniche district .
They announced that they have also finished work on some key parts of the road, such as lighting of the streets, and their rail network, but have not disclosed the other features they completed.
DP World noted that the other parts of the work developed throughout this stage, which complements the overall future completion of the project, consists of completing almost 0 percent of deep sewerage, and drainage systems, and approximately 80 percent of clean water, fire, irrigation, and communication networks.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO, commented on the progress of the project: "It is a source of pride for all of those who have worked on this important project at Dubai Maritime City. Teams have been able to execute their tasks in a timely manner despite the unprecedented challenges associated with Covid-19 restrictions and precautions."
"The efforts made on the project have assured the overall Phase I completion by Q1, 2021, delivering all major and minor infrastructure expected from a modern and sustainable community which will provide users and sub-developers with the optimal environment and lifestyle,"he added.
