    Iran: new fashion brand sweeps the nation

    (MENAFN) The economic situation in Iran is not very encouraging for new business, the country had kicked off the year by challenging the U.S. sanctions that made all procedures more difficult, and then came the pandemic.

    But a group of design graduates, risked it anyway, and started, Koi, a fashion brand that has already sold thousands of shirts and striped jeans since July, the fact the market was an audience of restricted customers looking for something to buy, helped their situation greatly.

    "Made in Iran" might just be the cure to Iran's ailing economy. Brands like Koi, Zi Shampoo and Bonmano Coffee are taking over an community that is rejected from the oil market and global trade, while trying to fight off the Coronavirus impact, and is being welcomed by customers.

    Armita Ghasabi, one of Koi's founders, commented: "We just knew it would work because we ourselves and so many people around us were so desperate for basic, simple things."
