    Turkey’s Abdulhamid Han drill vessel prepares to cruise from Mersin to Mediterranean on Aug. 9

    (MENAFN) The countdown to the opening task of Turkey’s Abdulhamid Han drill vessel has started, as it prepares to cruise from the port city of Mersin on Aug. 9 to its journey's end in the Mediterranean.

    Functioned by the state energy firm Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO),

    TPAO announced in a post published on Twitter Abdulhamid Han is going to be the director of the final controls before it begins its trip from the Mersin Tasucu port in the Mediterranean.

    The fourth drill vessel in Turkey’s fleet, containing of Fatih, Kanuni as well as Yavuz, has a crew volume of 200.

    The ship is one of five seventh-generation vessels in the world, which can drill to a maximum depth of 12,200 meters (40,026 ft.).

    It is 238 meters (780 feet) tall, has a width of 42 meters (137 ft), a tower height of 104 meters (341 ft) as well as weighs 68,000 gross tons.
