    Iran, Iraq ink cooperation deal in aviation

    (MENAFN) Iran was announced to have inked a memorandum of understanding with Iraq on the expansion of their aviation cooperation.

    Morteza Dehqan, Deputy Head of Iran Civil Organization for Aviation and International Affairs, penned the agreement with Head of Iraq Aviation Organization Ali Khalil Ebrahim.

    The declaration was made by Reza Jaafarzadeh, Director of the Public Relations Department of the Civil Aviation Organization.

    Under the agreement, Iran and Iraq are set to boost the number of their weekly services from 91 to reach 120.

    The official further unveiled the two countries to have decided to join hands in matters of flight security and training, along with ICAO regular examination and air navigation.

    Jaafarzadeh added that the two sides also signed a couple of documents on cooperation in the field of air traffic, research and rescue.
