    Moroccan household confidence continues to decline

    (MENAFN) The Moroccan household confidence index fell to 74.9 points in the second quarter of this year, from 79.1 points in the previous quarter and 87.3 points recorded in the second quarter of last year, according to the results of the Permanent Household Status Survey carried out by the High Commission for Planning in Morocco Official Statistics Authority.

    The report, published by the delegation yesterday, pointed to results that highlighted that "the index of household confidence continued during the second quarter of 2019 downward trend, which began more than a year ago."

    He added that "the deterioration of the index of household confidence during this chapter reflects the decline of all the indicators constituting it, whether compared with the previous chapter or with the same chapter of last year," explaining that these components are of interest "views of families on the development of standard of living and unemployment and financial status, as well as opportunities for acquisition Sustainable goods ".

    With regard to households' views on the development of the general level of living, the report highlighted that 46.2 per cent of households reported deterioration in their standard of living during the preceding 12 months, while 32.9 per cent of households considered that the standard of living had remained stable and 20.8 per cent had seen improvement.
