Workers end protest against Kuwait?s Al-Ahmadi refinery

(MENAFN) Workers at Kuwait?s Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery ended their five-day strike after reaching an agreement with the management over staffing, Reuters reported. Deputy president of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Mohammad Al-Hamlan, said that the union and the management have reached an agreement to increase the number of workers at the utility unit, the country's 460,000 barrels per day (bpd) refinery, and workers went back to work. He pointed out that the strike that was held by 32 workers did not affect production at the facility, which is one of Kuwait's three refineries. The workers at the refinery's utility unit walked out to protest against a company decision to slash the number of workers assigned to it.
