    Saudi non-petro exports grow $2.68b in February

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's General Statistics Department said that the kingdom saw a 30 percent hike in non-oil exports in February 2010, with $2.68 billion worth of exports compared to $2.05 billion in the same month last year, Arab News reported. In February 2010, plastic products topped the list of Saudi exports accounting for 32 percent of total exports and valued at $850 million, followed by petrochemicals with 27 percent of the exports, worth $733 million, and re-exports amounted for 14 percent, valued at $386 million. The statistics department said that non-Arab and non-Muslim Asian countries were the main recipients of Saudi products, as they took 29 percent of exports with a total value of $781 million. While, GCC countries came second receiving 27 percent of Saudi exports worth $730 billion.
