Iraq maintains oil output levels in June

(MENAFN) A senior official at Iraq?s State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) said in a statement that Iraq's crude exports in June averaged 1.9 million barrels per day, the same level as the previous month, Reuters reported. Average exports from the southern oil hub of Basra reached 1.45 million bpd while exports from oilfields in the north around Kirkuk averaged 450,000 bpd, SOMO head Falah Alamri told Reuters. The exports from Kirkuk included 10,000 barrels per day taken through Jordan via trucks, he said. Alamri gave no further details. Iraq's oil output and export capacity has been constrained by years of war, sanctions and underinvestment.
