    Royal Jordanian's July passenger traffic up 14.6%

    (MENAFN) The Chief Executive Officer at Royal Jordanian, the national airline of Jordan, said that the compnay has carried more than 330,000 passengers to its 58 direct destinations in July, marking an increase of 14.6 percent over the same month in 2009, Reuters reported. He pointed out that the summer months are witnessing high demand on travel to all network sectors, being for the purpose of tourism or the increasing traffic of expatriates coming to visit their relatives in Jordan, in addition to the growing movement of students and businessmen. He also noted that the Arab Gulf and the Levant accounted for the largest share of passenger traffic during July, followed by Europe, North America and the Far East. The CEO indicated that the seat factor went up by 5 points over the same month last year, and also increased by 2.3 points over the target to reach 79.3 percent.
