    Oman revenues jump 30.5% in H1

    (MENAFN) Oman's Ministry of National Economy said that the Sultanate's revenues have increased by 30.5 percent during the first half of 2010 to $10.96 billion, against $8.4 billion during the corresponding period in 2009, QNA reported. The monthly statistical bulletin issued by the ministry attributed this to a 54 percent rise in the Sultanate's oil net revenues, which stood at $7.4 billion by the end of June 2010 as against $4.8 billion during the corresponding period in 2009, and a 21.7 percent rise in gas revenues. The state's general budget surplus achieved a $1.8 billion during the first half of 2010 compared with a deficit by $6.5 million during the corresponding period in 2009.
