Yemen inks trade agreement with South Korea

(MENAFN) Yemen and South Korea have reached a bilateral agreement that will pave the way for Yemen to join the World Trade Organization (WTO), Saba reported. South Koreas permanent mission to the UN Secretariat and International Organizations in Geneva said that the two countries will hold a signing ceremony at Yemens mission in the Swiss city. The WTO requires a country which wants to join the WTO, to hold bilateral trade negotiations with its members. Yemen has been trying to join the WTO for ten years. It is in the middle of negotiations with the US, Japan, Ukraine and Honduras, the agency said. Yemen and South Korea reached an agreement in the service sector in November 2008.
