Bapco to seal $120m agreement with Korean firm

(MENAFN) Manama-based Bapco and Korean Gold Star Company announced that they will sign a Refinery Water Treatment Unit construction agreement, Gulf Daily News reported. The $120 million facility aims at eliminating all chemical components in refinery cooling water as part of Bapco's efforts at preserving the environment and spreading greenery in Bahrain. Bapco recently opened its Refinery Gas Desulphurisation Project RGDP last July at a cost of $150 million in a bid to preserve the environment. With the signing of the new agreement, Bapco will complete its environment compliance projects at a total cost of over half a billion dollars as part of its ongoing commitment to preserve the environment and create a safe healthy environment for present and future generations.
