    Cambridge International wins $6m order in Iraq

    (MENAFN) Cambridge International Systems, a leading provider of security solutions, has been selected by the US Navy to provide a maritime surveillance system to the Iraqi Navy. The delivery order, valued at approximately $6 million, was competitively awarded under an existing Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWARSYSCOM) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, a statement said. The Iraqi maritime surveillance system will provide the Iraqi Navy with improved command and control capabilities to efficiently monitor and protect Iraq's strategic maritime assets and territorial waters. It will also integrate with existing surveillance systems and components and will also be fully interoperable with the Iraqi Navy's recently purchased patrol boats and offshore support vessels. Under this delivery order, Cambridge will provide new mobile (ashore) surveillance systems and various communications upgrades.
