Kuwait expects to earn $14 billion from non-oil sector

(MENAFN) The Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad al-Fahad al-Sabah, said that Kuwait aims to generate $14 billion in non-oil revenue by 2014, with the help of a four-year development plan, AP reported. Kuwait's parliament agreed upon the four-year development plan valued at $104.3 billion, in hopes of decreasing the country's dependence on oil, and boosting private sector participation in projects. It is worth noting that Kuwait is the world's fourth-largest oil exporter.
