    Saudi non-oil exports reach $2.5b in September

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's Central Department of Statistics and Information's (CDSI) stated that the Kingdom has registered a 15 percent rise in non-oil exports, reaching $2.51 billion in September in comparison to the 2009 figures in the same period which stood at $2.2 billion, Reuters reported. According to official data, the main exports were petrochemical products and plastics, which collectively represented 69 percent of all exports, bringing in $1.7 billion. Top importers were Asian countries, receiving 33 percent of Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports, followed by the GCC region and other Arab countries, whereas China received 10 percent of the exports, amounting to $253.6 million, followed by the UAE and Singapore, each receiving 8 percent of the non-oil exports, worth around $226.6 million each.
