    Kuwait allocates $21.3 for electricity, water projects

    (MENAFN) Mohamed Boshehri, Director of Planning and Power Station Projects at Kuwait�s Electricity Ministry, revealed that the country has set a four-year plan to spend $21.25 billion on electricity and water projects, Reuters reported. According to Boshehri, Kuwait has received four bids from various potential investors, and the Ministry has yet to choose a winner. Already, the Ministry is expanding a power plant in Al-Zour and is planning to increase its capacity by an additional 400 megawatts to the existing 800 megawatts. Boshehri said that by 2020, Kuwait's domestic electricity demand would reach around 21,000 megawatts and he expected it would be met by domestic power production.
