    Saudi Arabia to develop 3 airports

    (MENAFN) Abdullah Rehaimi, president of The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), after attending a meeting of GACA's board of directors, said that the authority intends to develop three airports in Qassim, Abha and Al-Jouf with a budget of $239.958 million, reported Arab News. Rehaimi also mentioned that runways of seven domestic airports are being renovated and that the authority has completed about 95 percent of work. Rehaimi said that as an attempt to fulfill the needs of increasing number of pilgrims the board meeting announced its plans to launch a public utility service complex at the Haj Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. It is worth noting that the board meeting was chaired by Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, attended by Prince Fahd bin Abdullah, assistant minister for civil aviation affairs, and Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities.
