    Central bank in UAE pushes banks to fairer fees

    (MENAFN) The UAE central bank governor, Sultan bin Nassir Al Suwaidi, said that banks in the UAE should make their clients their top priority and treat them in a fair way in order to avoid any banking problems and provide clients with a good financial environment, reported Emirates 24/7. Suwaidi said the central bank had received many complaints regarding increasing bank fees on services to clients; therefore the central bank is planning on taking new measures to control the issue. Al Suwaidi said that banks in the UAE, which include 23 national and 28 foreign banks, have to improve their performance and services in order to give clients better banking experiences and thus enhance the image of banking business in the UAE.
