Increase in gulf travelers to Far East

(MENAFN) The area director for Middle East and Asia for the Singapore Tourism Board, Jason Ong, said that Gulf travelers are targeting Asian countries more for tourism purposes, reported The National. Ong said that the most popular destinations for Emeritis in the Far East are Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Singapore alone reported an increase in the number of tourists from the Arab world at 25.6 percent in 2010 compared to a year before. It is worth noting that the increase in the number of flights as well as the addition of new destinations in the Far East played a significant role in making the Far East a more attractive tourism destination. It is worth noting that the growth in flights connecting the Gulf region to countries in Asia in 2010 has played a major role in boosting the number of tourists.
