    Johannesburg, Oman to set up cold storage facility

    (MENAFN) South Africa's Johannesburg Market chief operating officer, Patrick Mphahlele, said that the country has plans for setting up a large cold storage warehouse facility in Sohar for the purpose of re-exporting South African products to the Arab region from Oman, reported times of Oman. Mphahlele said that the new partnership with Omani entities would include the investment of USD43.7 million and would replace the company's current hub in Dubai. Establishing the new storage facility would begin within three months and would be completed over the course of eighteen months. It is worth noting that Johannesburg Market, popularly known as Joburg Market, is the biggest agency in Africa that facilitates the sale of fresh produce between farmers and buyers.
