Emirates, Etihad, QA add flights to Manchester

(MENAFN) Middles East-based carriers including Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad added flights to UK's Manchester as British Airways stopped providing services there, leaving a strong client base for the Arabian carriers, reported Arabian Business. Back in 2008, British Airways stopped providing flights from Manchester airport, which was the busiest airport in England outside of London. This made passenger traffic at the airport fall from 22 to 17.6 million yearly. The British carrier aimed at moving all of its flights to Heathrow, however, travelers hesitate when selecting that airport as it is Europe's busiest one. Certain routes could require long hours of waiting from travelers. The Emirates stated earlier this month that it would add a third daily flight from Dubai. Qatar Airways and Etihad stated that they would double their flights from and to Manchester airport.
