Competition needed to enhance services: Saudia director

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Airline (Saudia) director general, Khaled Al-Molhem, said that the carrier welcomes more airlines to join the Saudi market as this would increase competition in the Kingdom, which would consequently improve services, reported Arabia News. Al-Molhem said that the lack of competition in the Saudi aviation market leaves Saudis with one main choice for travel. He said that this is the reason behind complaints form customers on deteriorating services provided by the national airline. Al-Molhem also blamed the substandard airport facilities in Saudi Arabia for the lack of efficiency in the carrier's services and said that Saudia cannot boost services considerably without a reasonable enhancement at facilities. It is worth noting that Saudia operate 137 aircrafts to around a hundred destinations around the world.
