(MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority's (ADTA) strategy and policy director, Lawrence Franklin, said that the total revenue of hotel in the emirate increased by 24 percent in February as it was boosted mainly by a hike of visitors from Saudi Arabia, reported Arabian Business. Franklin said that other factors that contributed to the hike in revenues were the political unrest in the region, which guided tourism to alternative destinations such as Abu Dhabi as well as attractive events in the emirate. He pointed out those Saudi visitors to Abu Dhabi increased by 90 percent. As for the number of hotel guests, Franklin said that they totaled to around 175,309 guests distributed on 115 hotels.
