Hilton to launch six new hotels in Saudi

(MENAFN) Hilton Worldwide's area president for Middle East and Africa, Rudi Jagersbacher, said that as part of a multibillion dollar development in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, the management company signed an agreement to open six new hotels in the kingdom by which it would hire 9,000 employers, reported The National. Jagersbacher added that the project came as part of the long postponed Jabal Omar development which overlooked the Grand Mosque and was designed to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims coming to the Kingdom. He also said that in order to hire Saudi nationals, Hilton cooperated with Prince Sultan College for Tourism and Business to create its own hospitality curriculum and qualifications. It is worth noting that the six hotels in Makkah are scheduled to open in 2014 under a number of the company's brands that include Conrad, Hilton, and DoubleTree.
