    Gulf Air launches Kabul flight

(MENAFN) Gulf Air's CEO, Samer Majali, said that the carrier started its first flight to Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, in a move that could enhance business between the two nations, reported Gulf Daily News. Majali added that with the launch of the flight, Gulf Air became the first full service commercial airline in the Middle East region to connect to Afghanistan, adding that the service to Kabul came after both sides completed extensive safety and security assessments. He also said that the service to Kabul would be a huge opportunity for Bahrain's private sector businesses in Afghanistan, since there were numerous multi million development projects going on in the country. It is worth noting that Gulf Air will launch four flights a week to Kabul, served by an Airbus A320 aircraft, which will offer 16 Falcon Gold and 120 Economy class seats.
