Qatar to build USD500m semi-submerged resort

(MENAFN) Giancarlo Zema Design Group said that the company designed a USD500 million semi-submerged extravagant resort project, The Amphibious 1000, which would be constructed in the near term on the Qatar coast, reported Emirates 24/7. The Italian company added that the project, which resembles Dubai's Palm Island, would include buildings on land and in the sea; it would have four hotels in addition to floating suites with four floors each. It also said that the land section would include a museum, floating walkways, a restaurant, exhibitions, aquariums and a glass tunnel that would lead to the underwater observatory in the centre of the marine park. It is worth noting that project will be established in the middle of a marine reserve, and guests would be transported around the resort via a hydrogen-powered 20 meter aluminum yachts.
