    4,000 new schools in Saudi Arabia

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education's spokesperson, Muhammad Al Dakhini, said that in a bid to improve Saudi's education sector, the ministry will dedicate USD8.5 billion from the budget to build 4,000 new schools, reported Arabian business. Al Dakhini stated that the ministry completed 600 school buildings in 2011 worth USD 2.4 this financial year. Saudi Arabia, also, dedicated another budget to assign 7,700 new teachers and 8,000 women teachers for this financial year, the ministry's spokesperson further explained. It is worth mentioning that this mega project is a part of the kingdom's plans to spend USD67 billion on housing followed by USD36 billion handout.
