Bahrain Air to raise Dubai flights

(MENAFN) Bahrain Air's managing director, Captain Ebrahim Al Hamer, said that the carrier planned to raise the number of its flights to Dubai to 21 flights a week, reported Gulf News. Al Hamer added that since the airline would increase its market share in Dubai, starting 2012, Bahrain Air would introduce 3 weekly flights to the emirate instead of the current twice a week service. He also said that by mid-2012, the carrier would add 3 routes to its current 15 in the Middle East and sub-continent, nevertheless, Al Hamer declined to provide details about the new destinations. It is worth noting that from February to June, Bahrain Air's sales went down 65 percent as a result of the country's political upheaval.
