    Abu Dhabi's Jan-Sep inflation grows 2.2%

(MENAFN) The Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (Scad) said that in 2011's first nine months, the emirate's inflation went up 2.2 percent over the previous year's same period, reported Emirates 24/7. The centre added that average consumer prices from September 2010 to last month grew by 1 percent, whereas they rose by 0.4 percent from August 2011 to September 2011. It also said that consumer prices for national households went up by 2.2 percent in the January- September period, whereas consumer prices for non-national households increased 1.9 percent and those for collective households grew 3.8 percent. It is worth noting that as a result of higher prices of most of the subgroups included in the food and non-alcoholic beverages group, the group represented 61.8 percent of the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
