Royal Jordanian to add two African routes in Dec

(MENAFN) Royal Jordanian CEO Hussein Dabbas unveiled new routes to Lagos and Nairobi to be launched in December, Arabian Business reported. Dabbas explained that the move aims to expand RJ's footprint in the Africa, in addition to explore new tourism and travel markets, given the decline in traditional markets of Europe and North America. Royal Jordanian will operate two flights a week to Lagos, and four flights a week to Nairobi. The airline also said it is studying the feasibility of launching new routes to Accra, capital of Ghana, and Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Dabbas expected to attract large numbers of tourists from connecting Amman with African cities, particularly Muslim pilgrims who wish to continue their flights to Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia, and Christians, who come to Jordan to visit the Baptism site and other Christian holy sites.
