    Qatar Airways plans to expand footprint in Africa

    (MENAFN) Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said the national carrier is planning to expand service further in Africa, Arabian Business reported. Qatar Airways started services to Benghazi in Libya and Entebbe in Uganda, this rises the airline's African destinations portfolio to 16. Al Baker explained that QA is exploring new opportunities parts of Africa that are poorly served by the international airlines. Qatar Airways has a portfolio of total 100 destinations globally, and plans to serve more than 120 key business and leisure destinations worldwide with a fleet of over 120 aircraft by 2013.
