    Ford plans to expand business in Iraq

    (MENAFN) Ford Middle East's managing director, Larry Prein, said that in spite of security issues, the automaker would expand its business in Iraq, reported Gulf News. Prein added that the US company had one dealership in Iraq, a country which is considered a growing market for the carmaker, moreover, the situation in the country started to improve, especially that the government would raise oil production, a move that would enhance the business sector in Iraq. On the other hand, he said that Ford's sales in the Middle East were strong, adding that sales of the company's Ford and Lincoln brands grew 55 percent over the past year. It is worth noting that in 2012, Ford will expand its business in Saudi, where demand over of the company's brands is growing.
