Oman Air orders 6 Boeing Dreamliners

(MENAFN) Oman Air's CEO, Peter Hill, said that as part of the carrier's expansion plans, the company ordered six Boeing's 787 and 788 Dreamliner aircrafts, reported Arabian Business. Hill added that the value of the newer and more fuel-efficient airplanes was estimated to reach around USD1.2 billion; moreover, the delivery date of the first 787 would be expected in 2014. He also said that the carrier's fleet included 7 Airbus A330s, 15 Boeing 737NGs and 2 turboprops, adding that the new Dreamliner was the first carbon-composite commercial airliner. It is worth noting that in September, Boeing delivered its Dreamliner to its launch customer ANA after three years of postponement.
